Biography
Dr. Kerdani received his dental degree from Cairo University in Egypt in 1985, where he also had one year of internship followed by Certificate of Restorative Dentistry in 1989. In 1991 he entered the prosthodontics specialty program at Indiana University School of Dentistry (IUSD) in the US and received his certificate of Specialty in Prosthodontics in 1994, followed by Masters of Science in Dentistry (MSD, Prosthodontics) in 1996. Dr. Kerdani fulfilled the requirement for dental licensing in the US in 1995 and practiced in the state of Michigan, in addition to part time teaching at University of Detroit Mercy. In the year 2000 he was board certified by the American board of prosthodontics, and then maintained a private practice and part time teaching assignments. In 2010 Dr. Kerdani accepted a position as a full time clinical associate professor of prosthodontics at University of Florida Collage of Dentistry (UFCD), and is currently the director of fixed prosthodontics II in addition to clinical teaching and faculty practice. In 2014 he received a Faculty enhancement opportunity (FEO) grant to introduce CAD/CAM digital dentistry to the preclinical curriculum. In 2015 he introduced the first preclinical course in CAD/CAM digital dentistry for fixed prosthodontics, and has one CAD CAM article published in the Journal of prosthetic dentistry and other CAD/CAM publications currently in review process.
