Biography:
How Kim Chuan is the Managing Director for Imperial Dental Specialist Centre. He is a well-known international speaker in the field of orthodontics, implantology,
laser dentistry, practice management and digital dentistry. He has conducted a number of clinical orthodontic courses in Malaysia, Cambodia, Myanmar, Nigeria,
Vietnam, Philippines and China. He has also obtained the prestigious Diamond status in Invisalign. He has been appointed as an International Advisor for the West
African Journal of Orthodontics, Philippines Dental Journal as well as Dental Asia Journal. In service to his country, he was appointed as a Director of the Malaysian
Health Promotion Board as well as Council Member for the Malaysian Dental Council. He has also served as the Chairman in formulating the standard disciplinary
procedures for the dental profession. He is currently the President of International College of Dentists (ICD) Asian Union. He is also a FDI Councilor for the FDI
World Dental Federation. He is also the Liaison Officer for the Asia Pacific Regional Organization.
Abstract:
The use of implant to replace missing teeth has become a routine restorative procedure in daily dentistry. However the
presence of rotated tooth, mesially tilted teeth or super-erupted teeth and crowding poses restorative challenges in ideal
pathway inclination, angulation and occlusion; therefore an integrated orthodontic management with or without the aid of
TAD to facilitate the implant treatment while achieving optimal aesthetic results is indicated. This lecture would showcase
clinical cases in adjunctive and comprehensive orthodontic treatment integrated with implant restoration to optimize best
clinical outcomes.

Biography:
Emre Mumcu was graduated from Eskisehir Anatolian High School and Istanbul University School of Dentistry (1993-1998). He has completed his PhD degree with
the dissertation from Istanbul University, Faculty of Dentistry Department of Prosthodontics. He has completed his military service in 2007-2008 at Gulhane Military
Medical Academy of Dental Sciences Center, Ankara. In 2012, he moved to Eskisehir starting as a Faculty Member at EskiÅŸehir Osmangazi University, School of
Dentistry. He has also worked as a Coordinator of Education at School of Dentistry (2012-2013), Vice Chair for Clinical Sciences (2012-2013), Vice-Dean of School
of Dentistry (2012-2013), Chief of Department of Prosthodontics (2012- Present). His 86 articles were published in international peer-reviewed journals and also
have over 40 presentations presented in international conferences and symposiums
Abstract:
Long-term clinical evaluation of dental implants and their superstructure is crucial to have more information about causes of
success and failure. One of the most important success criteria that should be evaluated is the marginal bone level around
dental implants. A pathological decrease of the bone level could lead to loss of bone anchorage of the implant. The influence of
implant-related factors such as diameter, length or shape of the implant, as well as patient-related factors such as age, gender,
localization of the implant and prosthetic factors whether if it is removable or fixed, whether the implants are splinted or single
and if there is a cantilever situation or not, on the marginal bone loss are of interest for clinicians as well as research staff. The
aim of my speech is to evaluate the relation between the above listed parameters and marginal bone loss in my studies and to
draw conclusions.

Farhat Kazmi has received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from de’ Montmorency College of Dentistry, Lahore, Pakistan, completed MPhil in Oral Pathology
and obtained her PhD in Oral Pathology. She has worked as the Head of Oral Pathology/Diagnostic Department in University College of Dentistry, University of
Lahore, Pakistan. Currently, she is working as an Associate Professor in College of Dentistry, Princess Noura Bint Abdurehman University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
She has published more than 20 papers in reputed journals.
Abstract:
Twenty-five years old male presented with the complaint of recurrent oral ulcerations and burning sensation
while taking salty and spicy food. General Physical examination of patient has showed normal vital with no blisters on the
body. Intraoral examination revealed multiple oral ulcerations on labial mucosa, bilateral buccal mucosa extending up to
the soft palate. Extraoral examination showed no palpable lymph nodes. Orthopantomogram was advised to rule out any
underlying pathology. Nikolsky test was performed which turned out to be positive. X-ray chest was advised to see the status
of Hilar lymph nodes which were invisible. Incisional biopsy was taken at multiple oral sites which showed suprabasal clefting
with acantholytic changes and spongiosis. Direct immunofluorescence detected immunoglobulin G deposits at the epithelial cell surfaces. Management included counseling of the patient/parents, systemic steroids, required vaccinations, monitoring of blood glucose during the treatment and follow up visits. Systemic steroid (Prednisone) 40 mg/day was advised and was tapered
up to 10 mg/day within nine months period. Vaccination for flu and Streptococcus pneumonia was given along with monitoring
of blood sugar after every three months. Bisphosphonates were given for bone metabolism. Remarkable improvement was seen
within two months period of treatment. Complete remission of disease occurred within nine months period

Abstract:
Adenomatoid odontogenic tumor (AOT) is an uncommon, benign epithelial lesion of odontogenic origin which mostly
affects the young individuals. As per literature the mean age of presentation is 13.2 years, female to male ratio is 2.3:1 and
is most commonly found in maxilla (maxilla to mandible ratio is 2.6:1). It is usually associated with an impacted tooth which
may be grossly displaced. Recommended treatment can vary from enucleation to resection of the tumor. In our case, we have
attempted to establish the characteristic correlation between histological and radiological parameters. In this case report a 13
year old female was presented with painless swelling (4×4 cm) on left side of her face. Intraoral examination shows unerupted
canine, premolars and molars of the ipsilateral side. Histopathological report suggested it to be an adenomatoid odontogenic
tumor. Immunohistochemical stains including Ki-67, p53, BCL2 was done to see the proliferation and aggressiveness of the
tumor. Orthopantomogram was done initially to see the status of unerupted teeth; CT scan was advised to see the extent of
lesion and displacement of teeth. The aggressiveness of bone destruction on radiograph and CT scan were misleading initially
towards dentigerous cyst but the characteristic infiltrating bony destruction was suggestive of more aggressive pathology.
Histological parameters obtained using immunohistochemistry facilitated the diagnosis of

attain immense skills and knowledge. With his vast dental knowledge, he coaches and trains dentists from all over the world on complex aesthetic dentistry, surgical
techniques and business management. He has also lectured in multiple cities throughout Australia, North America, Asia, Singapore, United Kingdom and Europe.
Abstract:
With more education in all parts of dentistry available to general dentists, more and more we are called upon to use multidisciplinary
techniques to solve a patient’s problem or to meet their goal. In the past, we always approached this from an
evidence based dentistry point of view. However, in recent years, we have learned of a number of limitation of the EBD model
when treatment planning things for the individual patient with an individual set of circumstances. In particular, the lack of
focus in dentistry on soft skills, personal interaction and communication ability, means that an evidence based approach can
lead to very significant failure technically and even worse failure in the patient’s eyes. In this presentation, the author will talk
about some techniques that help to use the available evidence more appropriately by understanding its limitations. The author
will also show three difficulties, four fears, and five tools to improve understanding of the patient and their goals.

Elisabeth Margarete Ute Schneider-Moser has received her Dental degree from the University of Mainz, Germany and her Specialty degree in Orthodontics
form the University of Ferrara, Italy. She is a Diplomate of the Italian Orthodontic Society (SIDO), of the Italian Academy of Orthodontics (AIdOr) where served
as the President in 2012 and an active Member of the E.H. Angle Society (EHASO). Since 30 years, she runs an associate practice limited to orthodontics with
her husband Dr. Lorenz Moser in Bolzano, Italy and is a Visiting Professor at the University of Ferrara, Italy. She has published in national and international peerreviewed
journals, for which she is also a Reviewer and lectures frequently at national and international conventions.
Abstract:
Due to an incidence of 0.8-2% of uni- or bilateral agenesis of the maxillary lateral incisors in the general population,
orthodontic space closure (OSC) with canine mesialization and recontouring or space opening and subsequent insertion
of an implant-borne crown (IMP), are relatively frequent treatment procedures in modern orthodontics. Although scientific
evidence regarding the superiority of one treatment modality over the other is inconclusive, a trend for OSC has been reported.
The author will present an update on modern prerequisites for long-term implant and prosthodontic success, focusing on
correct 3D-implant placement, on additional hard and soft tissue grafting, and on meticulous peri-implant tissue molding with
provisional crowns. Two studies directly comparing OSC and IMP patients from the author’s private office will illustrate the
esthetic and periodontal outcomes in the short term and after a functional period of 5-10 years.

Mohamed Abdulcader Riyaz is an under-graduate student of Ragas Dental College, Chennai. He is an Alumni and Fellow of the prestigious The Tamil Nadu
Government Dental College, Chennai. His specialization is in oral medicine and radiology. He has more than 8 years of teaching experience both in India and
abroad and currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Maxillofacial Diagnostic Sciences in the College of Dentistry, Qassim University, one
of the pioneering universities in KSA. He has many publications to his credit and has presented papers in various conferences in the field of oral medicine and
radiology.
Abstract:
The oral and maxillofacial diagnosticians are responsible for the detection, description, differentiation and diagnosis of
salivary gland disorders. The algorithm of salivary gland imaging depends on the stage of the clinical disease. For the sake
of ease of description, the salivary gland disorders can be broadly divided in to inflammatory, reactive and space-occupying
masses. Diagnostic imaging of salivary gland disease may be useful in distinguishing diffuse involvement from focal suppurative
involvement, differentiate and identify neoplastic processes from inflammatory disease, delineate ductal morphology, identify
sialoliths, identify the effect of salivary gland pathology on adjacent structures, aid in the selection of biopsy sites, etc. This
paper will review the different imaging modalities and the past and current protocol of salivary gland imaging, if there is any
difference, for different salivary gland pathologies for different clinical situations.

The use of resin composite for restoring teeth has been increased greatly in recent years; manufacturers are claiming that the nanofilled composite technology has been improved to be similar to the ceramics in shade selection and color stability. In Yemen, khat chewing habits may affect the color of esthetic restoration and it is always accompanied by drinking water and cola.
