Biography
Dimosthenis Mantokoudis has completed his graduate studies at the University of Berne, Switzerland. After his doctor thesis in the field of Periodontology at University of Berne and several years in private practice he completed the postgraduate program of Prosthodontics at the Department of Prosthodontics, University of Berne and was appointed in the same department as an Assistant Professor and Research Coordinator. His activities, both in clinical practice and clinical research, cover the field of oral Implantology and implant Prosthodontics. Dimosthenis initiated with the support of the Global Microsurgery Foundation and in collaboration of the University of Hong Kong a novel type of postgraduate course in implant dentistry with the strong focus on clinical training in part-time delivery at a new purpose built teaching facility: The Australian Institute of Dental Education and Research - AIDER. He is currently Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland and appointed from the Global Microsurgery Foundation as Chief Executive Officer of the AIDER.
